    Caterina Sforza was the illegitimate daughter of Galeazzo Maria Sforza, Duke of Milan.

    Her father was assassinated in the Milan Cathedral, and her young brother, Gian Galeazzo, was imprisoned and murdered by their ruthless uncle, Ludovico Moro.
