Tan Sri Shahril was appointed as Managing Director of Sapura Resources Berhad on 19 February 1990, and was later re-designated as a Non-Independent Non-Executive Director of the Company on 1 March 2007.
He is the President and Group Chief Executive Officer of Sapura Group, who manages a diversified portfolio of businesses, namely oil and gas, industrial and manufacturing, property management, aviation, defence and security and rail.
On 22 March 2021, he retired as the President and Group Chief Executive Officer of Sapura Energy Berhad and on 30 April 2021 he resigned as the Non-Independent Non-Executive Director of Sapura Energy Berhad.
